USING THE ILGRadio
The programme starts with the main opening menue
Push the > F10 < function key and you can choose the various options
If you want to see the ILGRadio database move the cursor to "Radio-Browser" (highlighted in red to open) and verify with return.
Choose "Shortwave Database - Browsing the World of Shortwave" (highlighted in red to open) and verify with return. At the first time the index for the frequencies will be installed.
Now you can select data fields you want to see highlighted green (continue with return if you don't want to colour data) It is helpful to highlight, e.g. the target area were you are living or you can highlight a radiostation or a country.
Now follows a selection of 10 datafields combinations which can be displayed on your screen. All other fields of the database are available on the right side. You can make them available on your screen if you move your cursor to the right side. The first field(s) are frozen on the left side.
After you selected the fields by return push to look for your frequency e.g. "15100". Now you can go up and down the database in the 15100 kHz range by using the keys Page-Up or Page-Down.
The gives a survey of function keys available within the browser.
With the you can set the filter function. Be carefull if you use this filter only for your target area, because many signals directed to other target areas are also covering your location. This filter for the hours, is rather effective and this function allows to display only important data which are available during your listening hour.
On function keys , , you can see all data of one set. These pages are including information about the data fields in French, German and English. Further pages in 6 language are also available. If the datafield is in green you can change the content of the datafield. To leave this window, please push + to return to the browser.
To leave this ILGRadio Browser, please push . Now you are back in the main menue of ILGRadio.
With the and selection in the start menue you will find many pages with useful information.
PROBLEMS WITH THE INDEX
In the case the index is not working correct and you cannot find your selected frequency it may be possible that the INDEX is damaged. If you are also doing changes in this database with another software the index may cause problems. In this case please delete all the NTX (index) files on the ILGRadio directory with e.g. the DOS COMMAND: DEL *.NTX
If you start the ILGRadio again a new index will be created within seconds.
